I got back from a nifty trip to Central America. We went to Costa Rica and did the touristy/volunteer thing. It is perpetually warm, they get NO winter and it is really pleasant. Its the coolest of the Central American countries, i think....
Well that explains my absence for the last couple of weeks. It was sooooo warm and humid, it made what passes for winter here in SoCal look positively frigid!

Once again I must revisit the old saw. I am often surprised when folks poke around DeviantArt spoiling for a fight. The come across something that offends their sensibilities and they gotta fire off an angry note.
Look, people, it's called DEVIANTart for a reason. A name like that should be fair warning that you may see things you may not like. But that is what the "back" button on the browser is for. I posted this pic to show my frustration with blind, unreasoning, violent fundamentalism.

To be frank, i was surprised it took as long as it did to get a nasty comment. I wouldn't mind so much if it was a comment on the quality(or lack of quality) in the piece, but goes to show ya...follow the comment chain and see. Look, it's a messed up world, I know. All kinds of folks are doing some pretty messed up things in the name of their personal beliefs. I just wish more people practice actual REASON and CRITICAL THINKING. I can only imagine how much more smoothly things would go on ALL sides..... Just a minor rant, but i hadda editorialize....Comments welcome as usual...

I am relatively flexible on the prize drawing, though i do like to draw Original Characters.
